what i learned

i learned something fun in fourth grade

it was that

given a triangle with legs $a$, $b$, and a hypotenuse $c$,

$$a^2 + b^2 = c^2$$

which you can also rewrite as

$$c = \sqrt{a^2 + b^2}$$
